Pro Image Compressor by Lab51i – User Guide
Welcome to the Pro Image Compressor – a completely free, no-signup, browser-based tool that lets you shrink multiple photos at once while keeping great quality!
How to Use It (Step-by-Step)
1. Open the Tool
Just open the Compressor in any modern browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari – all work perfectly).
You’ll see a big beautiful area that says: “Drag & drop your images here or click to browse”
2. Add Your Images (2 Easy Ways)
Way 1 – Drag & Drop
- Open your folder with photos
- Select one or more images (you can select 50 at once!)
- Drag them into the big dashed box
- Drop them → Done!
Way 2 – Click to Browse
- Click the blue button “Select Images”
- Choose as many photos as you want (Ctrl/Cmd + click to select multiple)
- Click “Open”
Supported formats: JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF Maximum per image: 50 MB
3. Wait for Automatic Compression
The tool will automatically start compressing your images one by one.
You’ll see:
- A card for each image
- Original image on the left
- Compressed version appearing on the right
- Real-time file size comparison (e.g., “68% smaller” in green)
- Progress bar at the bottom showing overall status
No need to click “Start” – it begins immediately after you add images!
4. Download Your Compressed Images
You have two download options:
Option A – Download Individual Images Once an image says “Completed”, a download icon ↓ appears under the compressed version. Click it → the optimized image is saved instantly with a name like: your-photo_compressed.webp (or .png/.jpg)
Option B – Download ALL at Once as a ZIP When at least one image is finished, the big green button “Download All as ZIP” becomes active.
Click it → you get one neat ZIP file named: Lab51i_compressed_images.zip
Inside the ZIP, every image is renamed professionally: Lab51i_001.webp, Lab51i_002.png, etc. – perfect for delivering to clients!
5. What the Status Badges Mean
- Queued (yellow) → waiting in line
- Compressing… (blue) → currently being processed
- Completed (green) → ready to download!
- Error (red) → very rare, just try that image again
Smart Features You’ll Love
- Converts most images to WebP (best compression) automatically
- Keeps PNGs as PNG if transparency is needed
- Never makes an image larger than original
- No watermarks, no limits
Tips for Best Results
- For photos (JPG) → expect 60–90% size reduction
- For screenshots/PNGs → it keeps transparency and still shrinks them a lot
- Want even smaller files? The tool already tries multiple quality levels and picks the smallest one that looks great.
That’s it! You’re now a pro at using the Lab51i Image Compressor.
Just drag, wait a few seconds, and download perfectly optimized images – ready for websites, emails, WhatsApp, or client delivery.
Enjoy compressing! 🚀
